A grounded approach to the practice of feeling good

I know exactly what it’s like to let your own well-being slide to the bottom of the to-do list.
But when I finally committed to moving, breathing, and being kind to myself, even for just a few minutes a day, everything shifted. That simple, daily pause did so much more than ease my physical aches. It completely transformed how I showed up for my life.
My students often tell me that I explain poses in a way that finally makes sense. That’s because my teaching is rooted firmly in anatomy and corrective movement. I want you to truly understand how your body works so you can move with complete confidence, both on the mat and out in the world.
I created Move. Breathe. Be Nice. for the intelligent mover who wants a practical, science-backed practice. You don’t need to be a “yoga person” to be here. You just need to be ready to treat your body a little better, master the skill of feeling good, and build the structural strength to stay active for the long haul.
How I Got Here
My path to this practice was anything but a straight line. I spent years in the world of nonprofit administration before a series of life-altering shifts, navigating profound personal loss and transition, forced a total re-evaluation of my life. I moved to Mexico to rebuild, and it was there that yoga shifted from a side project to a lifeline.
I didn’t need mystical promises or “magic beans.” I needed a practice that would build a body capable of carrying the weight of my life and a mind that could settle despite the chaos.
That experience is exactly why I teach the way I do today. I know firsthand that a few minutes of intentional movement is about far more than exercise. It is about maintaining the structural and emotional integrity to handle hard things while cultivating a steady, reliable peace of mind.
